Time is very much running out in the Premier League. The sides at the bottom of the table need to somehow put a run together to claw themselves away from the threat of relegation while at the top Leicester’s position gets stronger with every passing week. This weekend’s fixtures are a mirror of the first weekend and with plenty of clubs looking for revenge, we’ve picked out three accumulators below to give your betting balance a boost.
Easy Winner – 11/10 (BetVictor)
- Manchester City to beat West Brom (1/3) – Man City have no chance of winning the title but they cannot afford to drop points against West Brom if they want to cement their place in the top four.
- Over 1.5 goals in West Ham v Arsenal (1/4) – West Ham overcame the odds to beat Arsenal in their first match but whatever the result, there should be plenty of goals in the weekend’s opening game.
- Bournemouth/draw double chance against Aston Villa (2/7) – This could be curtains for Aston Villa. They are the worst team in the Premier League and Bournemouth have more than enough to avoid defeat at their hands at Villa Park.
Medium Risk – 10/1 (Sky Bet)
- Southampton to beat Newcastle (8/15) – The mood around Newcastle is glum to say the least. Many fans believe that defeat at Norwich sealed their fate and they should be even closer to the drop after playing this very good Southampton team.
- Leicester to beat Sunderland (23/20) – The Foxes are on a real charge. It is now four 1-0 wins in a row for Leicester and they should be able to record another win against Sunderland who look destined to join their North East rivals in the Championship next season.
- Watford and Everton to draw (12/5) – It is now four straight defeats for Watford and three straight for Everton. Something has got to give at Vicarage Road on Saturday. However, with both teams setting their sights on FA Cup glory to brighten up the end of their season, this could end up in disappointment for both managers as they share the spoils.
Long Shot – 14/1 (Bet365)
- Chelsea to beat Swansea (evens) – Guus Hiddink has made it 15 league games without defeat in his second spell as temporary Chelsea manager. There is no doubt that Antonio Conte will have his work cut out when the takes over at the club but Hiddink should be able to lead them to a top half finish aided by a win against Swansea.
- Leicester to beat Sunderland 1-0 (6/1) – Sam Allardyce will be very wary of Leicester and will tell his players to ensure they keep things tight. That, though, could play into the hands of the Foxes who look well set to win yet another match 1-0.
- Tottenham to beat Manchester United to nil (2/1) – Spurs are well known for their attacking players but they have the best defensive record in the Premier League which should allow them to come through unscathed against an uninspiring Manchester United team.
