There is a combination of Premier League and FA Cup action to enjoy this weekend. While the teams left in the sixth round of the FA Cup are starting to dream of glory and a big day out at Wembley, the league matches are much more about the fight to avoid relegation. With such a mixture of matches ahead of us, we’ve created three trebles of increasing odds for you below.
Short Price – 13/10 (Ladbrokes)
- Liverpool to beat Watford (2/11) – Liverpool were disappointed to lose the big match against Man United last weekend but have a great chance to return to winning ways at home to Watford who cannot wait for the end of the season.
- Over 1.5 goals in Swansea v Tottenham (3/10) – Swansea’s climb up the Premier League table has not only helped morale, it’s allowed them to give the FA Cup a good go. The Swans will attack Tottenham at the Liberty Stadium but Spurs, for whom the FA Cup has become all the more important since their Champions League exit, will also be going for it.
- Man United to score over 1.5 goals against Brighton (1/2) – After surrendering their place in the Champions League so meekly on Tuesday night, Man United will be desperate to bounce back on Saturday. Brighton will be up for this but expect a minimum of two goals for the home side.
Medium Risk – 12/1 (Coral)
- Bournemouth to beat West Brom (9/10) – It was a case of another game, another defeat for West Brom last weekend. Alan Pardew may have clung onto his job but it’s tough to imagine he’ll be able to reverse West Brom’s form away to Bournemouth.
- Both teams to score in Huddersfield v Crystal Palace (20/23) – This is the biggest relegation six pointer of the weekend. Crystal Palace come into the game on the back of seven winless games but they should still score against a Huddersfield side who have one clean sheet in nine.
- Wigan to beat Southampton (13/5) – Wigan have already beaten three Premier League sides to make it to the sixth round of the cup. They have every chance of adding Southampton to that list as new Saints manager, Mark Hughes, has bigger things to worry about than the FA Cup.
Long Shot – 192/1 (Betfair)
- Tottenham to beat Swansea and both teams to score (5/2) – Swansea’s league form allows them to take the FA Cup seriously now they’re in the sixth round. They should score on Saturday but will do very well to avoid defeat against a Spurs side who are still smarting from their defeat against Juventus.
- Huddersfield to beat Crystal Palace and both teams to score (11/2) – With the returning Wilfried Zaha, Crystal Palace will cause Huddersfield problems on Saturday. However, things are starting to go wrong for Roy Hodgson’s side and another defeat could well be on the cards.
- 0-0 correct score in Stoke v Everton (15/2) – Stoke are scrapping for their lives in the Premier League but may find their efforts frustrated by an Everton side who seem content solely to defend on their travels.
