This week sees the first legs in both the Champions League and Europa League semi finals. So we’ve got four huge matches to look forward to. - Juventus v Real Madrid under 3.5 goals (2/9) – Juventus are very strong at home and will be hoping to give themselves a lead before they head to the Spanish capital. However, Real have an incredible defensive record on their travels so this one will be a low-scoring affair before potentially catching fire in the second leg.
- Barcelona v Bayern Munich over 1.5 goals (1/4) – Two of the best attacking units in Europe go head-to-head on Wednesday night as Pep Guardiola returns to Barcelona. Bayern have some key injuries but still have goals in their team, as for Barca, almost any member of their team is good for a goal.
- Napoli to beat Dnipro (2/5) – Rafa Benitez’s Napoli are favourites to lift the Europa League trophy. They will surely beat Dnipro on home turf so that they have plenty of wiggle room in the second leg.
Medium Risk – 8/1 (BetVictor)
- Barcelona to beat Bayern Munich (4/6) – Barcelona have one of the best records in 2015 of any club in the whole of Europe. The team are playing some unstoppable football under the leadership of Luis Enrique and are clear favourites to secure a win to ensure Pep Guardiola’s return to Catalunya is not a happy one.
- Sevilla to beat Fiorentina (4/5) – Fiorentina have lost all of their last four games in Serie A. That poor run of form looks set to continue against a Sevilla side who haven’t lost since February and have a brilliant Europa League record.
- Juventus to beat Real Madrid (2/1) – Juventus have only lost one game at their new home, the Juventus Stadium. They are incredibly comfortable in front of their own fans and will know that Real Madrid are likely to favour a cautious approach. That could allow them space and time with which they can be deadly.
Long Shot – 584/1 (Bet365)
- Juventus to beat Real Madrid 1-0 (13/2) – A 1-0 defeat would not be a terrible result for Real Madrid. They would obviously love an away goal but they’ve got enough about them to win by more than one at the Bernabeu. Juve would also be happy with any win.
- Barcelona to beat Bayern Munich 3-0 (12/1) – Not only do Barca have a formidable forward line but their defensive record is very impressive. In the 2013 semi final, Bayern blew Barcelona away 7-0 on aggregate. We could be about to witness something similar this year.
- Napoli to beat Dnipro 2-0 (5/1) – 2-0 is the most common scoreline for Napoli home games this season. Rafa Benitez will be expecting a win but his team are not going to do anything stupid trying to score too many goals. 2-0 would do them just nicely…and us if it lands this acca!
