We are at the point in the Premier League campaign where we can almost begin to stop talking in terms of the teams’ start to the season. As we approach 10 games the league stops for a week again due to another international break. Before that happens we’ve got another big weekend of action and as usual we’ve picked out the three best trebles to try and make some profit from the action so let’s have a look at them.
Easy Winner – evens (BetVictor)
- Manchester City to beat Newcastle (2/9) – Newcastle almost got their first win of the season against Chelsea but in the end they had to settle for a point. They won’t even get that against City on Saturday.
- Over 1.5 goals in Norwich v Leicester (1/4) – Leicester are turning into the most exciting team to watch in the Premier League. Even when they lose they lose big and you can guarantee goals when they make the trip to East Anglia to play Norwich.
- Over 1.5 goals in Bournemouth v Watford (3/10) – Watford have found a way to score goals in the Premier League over recent weeks and they’ll be confident they can record an away win against Bournemouth who have been rocked by injuries over the last month.
Medium Risk – 18/1 (Sky Bet)
- Manchester United to beat Arsenal (13/5) – Arsenal are typically unpredictable this season but they don’t have a good recent record against United and their Champions League loss at the hands of Olympiakos will have really hurt morale. United are top of the table and have enough about them to stay there.
- Aston Villa to beat Stoke (7/5) – Villa need to start picking up points in order to drag themselves away from the relegation battle. They have a very winnable home game against Stoke who have been puzzlingly poor at times this season.
- Norwich to beat Leicester (5/4) – Norwich were very unlucky not to pick up all three points against West Ham last weekend and if they can play anywhere near as good as that against Leicester they should be rewarded with a win.
Long Shot – 48/1 (Bet365)
- Watford to beat Bournemouth (12/5) – Bournemouth have only really played well in fits and spurts and they will be tested against fellow new boys Watford on Saturday. The Hornets are starting to enjoy life in the Premier League and they have a real chance to get all three points at Dean Court.
- Tottenham to beat Swansea (8/5) – After a very fast start Swansea have hit the skids somewhat. They’ll need a return to form to beat Tottenham who are finding their groove and who were impressive when beating Man City last weekend. This could be a tough afternoon for the home team.
- Romelu Lukaku to score first against Liverpool (9/2) – The big Belgian striker is in devastating form at the moment and Everton should beat Liverpool so it makes sense to back Lukaku to score first in the Merseyside derby.
