The Champions League returns with Matchday Two of the group stage this week. Tuesday and Wednesday night will be full of entertaining games and we’ve provided you with three accumulators below to make the most of the action. - Barcelona to beat Leverkusen (2/9) – Barca were held in their opening game against Roma so will be especially keen to get their first win of the campaign at home against Leverkusen who are yet to reach top form in the Bundesliga this season.
- Real Madrid to beat Malmo (1/6) – Real should be able to make it two wins out of two Champions League games with their trip to play Malmo on Wednesday. Their talent and vast amounts of European experience will see them through despite Malmo’s raucous fans.
- Zenit to beat Gent (2/5) – Gent won a point in their first ever Champions League game but a trip to Russia to play Zenit will surely end with them suffering defeat. Zenit won impressively against Valencia last time out and have enough to make this a comfortable victory.
Medium Risk – 9/2 (Sky Bet)
- Roma to beat BATE (4/6) – Roma battled to a well-earned draw against Barcelona last time out and can follow that up with a win against group whipping boys BATE. The Belarusians may have Champions League experience but they don’t have the quality of the Giallorossi.
- Manchester City to beat Monchengladbach (3/4) – City have a great opportunity to get their Champions League campaign back on track against a Monchengladbach side who are conceding goals for fun in the Bundesliga. The City frontmen should have more than enough to put their side out of sight.
- Manchester United to beat Wolfsburg (10/11) – It was not a good week for European teams in Europe in Matchday One but they should both fare much better in this round of games. United have a home match against Wolfsburg that they should come through without too much trouble.
Long Shot – 36/1 (Bet365)
- PSV to beat CSKA Moscow (3/1) – PSV showed that they are unflappable when coming back from a goal down to beat Manchester United last time out. They could upset the odds in a tough looking match against CSKA who have been unchallenged domestically this season.
- Lyon and Valencia to draw (11/5) – Lyon have been so-so in Ligue 1 this season, with three wins, three draws and a defeat from their seven games. They host Valencia on Tuesday who need to quickly get over their defeat at the hands of Zenit. The two sides are similarly strong and could cancel each other out.
- Manchester City -2 v Monchengadbach (4/1) – This really does look like a tailor made match for City. They can focus on attacking and should be rewarded handsomely in Germany so applying a two goal handicap looks a very good bet at nice odds to finish off the acca.
