After just four games in the Premier League we’ve reached the first international break of the season. The qualifying campaign for Euro 2016 in France has taken shape nicely and a few nations can secure their spot at the finals with two wins from their two September fixtures. As ever we’ve picked out our three best accas to help you profit from the international fixtures.
Easy Winner – 8/11 (BetVictor)
- Netherlands to beat Iceland (2/7) – The Netherlands have been very disappointing so far in qualification and find themselves five points behind Group A leaders Iceland who they play on Thursday. The Dutch though retain a talented team and so should see off Iceland in front of their home fans.
- Spain to beat Slovakia (1/4) – Like the Netherlands, Spain are playing a home game against the team who are top of their group. If Vincente del Bosque’s team can win they will close the gap on Slovakia and top the group on goal difference.
- San Marino v England over 2.5 goals (1/16) – San Marino are without a doubt one of the weakest nations in the whole qualifying process. They’ve conceded 19 goals and scored none in their six games and will be on the end of another high scoring pasting against England.
Medium Risk –8/1 (Sky Bet)
- Wales to beat Cyprus (17/20) – Wales can qualify for the Euros if they win their next two games. They’ve never beaten Cyprus away from home but that should all change on Thursday night as Gareth Bale and co are much the better team.
- Switzerland to beat Slovenia (4/7) – In their heart of hearts Switzerland will have given up hope of catching England at the top of Group E. Instead they should set their sights on keeping Slovenia at arm’s length by beating them in Basel. Slovenia narrowly won in the first game between the two but should come up short on Saturday.
- Sweden to beat Russia (5/2) – Russia are in danger of not qualifying due to the impressive campaigns of both Austria and Saturday’s opponents Sweden. The Swedes drew with Russia in October but can go one step further by winning in Moscow, making Russia’s chances of qualifying diminish even further.
Long Shot – 48/1 (Bet365)
- Wales to beat Cyprus 2-1 (8/1) – Wales beat Cyprus 2-1 in the first fixture between the two when they played in Cardiff. Chris Coleman’s team should win again but could concede only their third goal of qualifying in Limassol.
- Poland to draw with Germany (5/1) – Poland have so far been able to hold off the challenge of Germany and are sitting pretty at the top of Group D. The Poles scored a great 2-0 victory over their rivals and have what it takes to leave Frankfurt with a point.
- Belgium to beat Bosnia-Herzegovina to nil (11/8) – Belgium are looking good for qualification but still need to turn in good performances from here on in. That should start with a comfortable win in Brussels. They have a very strong team and should go better than the 1-1 draw they managed in the first game against Bosnia-Herzegovina.
