This Premier League season is shaping up nicely in the opening stages. Many sides are struggling for form early doors which has thrown up some surprise score lines. There is the potential for a few more upsets this weekend although a host of teams also start as heavy favourites. Whether you prefer backing the “bankers” or taking a little more risk, we have an accumulator for you right here.
Easy Winner – 6/5 (BetVictor)
- Liverpool to beat West Ham (4/11) – It’s time for West Ham’s annual defeat at Anfield this weekend. The Irons haven’t won away against Liverpool since the 1960s and their terrible performance last weekend offers no hope for a change in their fortunes.
- Manchester City to beat Watford (1/5) – City have begun the season incredibly well. Three wins out of three should become four at home against newly promoted Watford on Saturday. Watford will have a crack but they’ll almost certainly come up short.
- Bournemouth v Leicester over 1.5 goals (2/7) – Bournemouth got off the mark against West Ham last weekend while Claudio Ranieri has had a great start to his time as Leicester boss. Both teams play attacking football so goals look guaranteed at Dean Court on Saturday.
Medium Risk – 17/2 (Sky Bet)
- Southampton to beat Norwich (19/20) – Southampton are not yet at the level they reached last season. They’re yet to win a Premier League game but have a great chance to arrest that run at home to Norwich in Sunday’s early game.
- Swansea v Manchester United over 2.5 goals (evens) – Swansea have made a very strong start to their season. Initially, many pundits suggested they would find it tough to finish higher than they managed last term but their attractive football makes them look like real contenders for the European places. They will have a tough game against Manchester United this weekend but have plenty of goals in the team which could make this a great game for the neutral.
- Tottenham v Everton both teams to score – Tottenham are yet to win this season but they’ll be looking to put on a show at home against Everton. The Toffees were great away from home against Southampton and although Tottenham may score, so should Everton.
Long Shot – 48/1 (Bet365)
- Arsenal to win both halves against Newcastle (3/1) – Arsenal have a great record against Newcastle who are yet to hit their stride in the Premier League. The Gunners have enough about them to win both halves away at St James’ Park despite not yet hitting top gear this season.
- Aston Villa and Sunderland to draw (12/5) – Villa lost at Crystal Palace last weekend while Sunderland picked up their first point of the season against Swansea. Dick Advocaat’s team are slowly improving and can take advantage of any complacency in the Villa ranks by securing another point.
- Tottenham and Everton to draw (13/5) – Spurs have a chance for their first win but may frustrate their fans once again against Everton. The Toffees know how to get results away from home but their defence isn’t the strongest in the league so the spoils could be shared at White Hart Lane.
