We’ve some great midweek Premier League football coming up and with all 20 teams in action there are some cracking games, with the Wednesday clashes between Chelsea and Spurs, and Arsenal and Southampton, the main highlights. 10 games gives us plenty of scope for our three regular football accas though, so whether you’re after an easy win or a huge payout, we’ve got an accumulator to suit.
Easy Winner – 11/5 (Betfred)
- Man United to beat Stoke (4/9) – United are starting to find their feet a little, especially at home and although Stoke stunned Man City at the Etihad we have to feel this is a home banker.
- Arsenal to beat Southampton (5/6) – Our easy winner is at higher odds than normal this week and that’s largely because of the confidence we have in this bet. Saints have started the season very well but have had easy fixtures and prior to the weekend game against Man City the only games they have played against “big” sides have ended in defeat, to Spurs and Liverpool.
- Everton v Hull over 1.5 goals (1/4) – Everton’s home games average four goals whilst only one of their 12 Premier League games thus far (prior to the weekend) has seen fewer than two strikes so given Hull are struggling we feel there will be plenty of goals here.
Medium Risk – 21/2 (BetVictor)
- Leicester to beat Liverpool draw no bet (2/1) – Liverpool continue to struggle and there is no way they should be odds-on here. Leicester are in poor form too but have only lost once at home and can cause an upset to heap more pressure on Brendan Rodgers and his men.
- Crystal Palace to beat Aston Villa (11/10) – Villa have parted company with Roy Keane but we don’t think that will have much impact here. It will be a close game but with home advantage and a win over Liverpool in their last match at Selhurst Park, the Eagles are fancied here.
- Arsenal to beat Southampton (17/20) – As said, we really like this bet and whilst the Gunners will miss Jack Wilshere, they welcome back Olivier Giroud and they will prove too good for the Saints here.
Long Shot – 98/1 (BetVictor)
- Burnley to beat Newcastle (7/4) – Burnley are building some momentum after two wins in a row and whilst Newcastle have climbed to fifth after six straight wins in all competitions, we feel the home side can just about edge this one at nice odds.
- Swansea to beat QPR to nil (2/1) – The Swans are soaring and much of that is down to their fine defensive record in Wales. QPR have failed to score in four of their away days and so this is another nice addition to our riskiest acca.
- West Ham to beat West Brom 2-1 (11/1) – West Ham are enjoying their football and they have plenty of quality attacking players, as well as a decent away record. Seven of their 12 games have ended within a goal of 2-1 (or indeed finished exactly 2-1) and we think on balance 11/1 for them to win by that score here is brilliant value.
