Another weekend, another set of Premier League fixtures for us to try and profit from. Below are three accumulators, an easy winner, a medium risk treble and a long-shot. We’ve gone through the stats to bring you the best selections to add together so we can have as profitable a weekend as possible from our three football accas.
Easy Winner – 3/2 (BetVictor)
- Manchester United v Sunderland over 1.5 goals (1/4) – 80% of all Manchester United games have had two goals or more this season. Sunderland games against top six opposition have had three or more games in the same percentage of games. Over 1.5 goals in this game is one of the safest bets of the weekend.
- Arsenal v Everton over 1.5 goals (1/4) – Only two Arsenal games have finished with fewer than two goals all season. With Everton’s defensive troubles and Arsenal’s good goalscoring form, over 1.5 goals is again a real banker.
- Liverpool v Manchester City both teams to score (8/13) – Both teams have scored in 62% of Liverpool home games this season and 69% of City away games have seen the same outcome. Both teams are scoring plenty of goals at the moment so we have to add both teams to score to bring home this acca.
Medium Risk – 9/1 (Coral)
- Burnley v Swansea under 2.5 goals (13/20) – Swansea games against teams towards the bottom of the league don’t tend to have many goals. As for Burnley, the average number of goals scored at Turf Moor is less than 2.5. The stats suggest backing under 2.5 goals so that’s exactly what we will do.
- Newcastle to beat Aston Villa (19/20) – Tim Sherwood got off to a horrible start to his time at Villa as his team lost to a late Stoke winner. They have lost the majority of their away games and come up against a Newcastle team who were humiliated by Manchester City last weekend. Back John Carver’s team to impart more misery on Villa and Sherwood.
- West Brom to beat Southampton (19/20) – The wheels may just be starting to falling off for Southampton in their battle for Champions League qualification. They’ve won one of their last four and face a resurgent West Brom under Tony Pulis.
Long Shot – 120/1 (Bet365)
- Liverpool v Manchester City over 4.5 goals (9/2) – Coming on the back of important European fixtures for both teams, this game could see either tired legs or rotated teams. When that happens, the defence often suffers so this game could be an absolute thriller with five goals or more worth a punt at nice odds.
- West Ham v Crystal Palace, Draw/West Ham (4/1) – West Ham don’t have a great recent record in the first half and they play Palace in the Saturday lunchtime kick off. These games often don’t kick into life until the later stages so the half-time/full-time market is the way to go, with the Hammers set to nick victory in the second period.
- Stoke v Hull, Victor Moses to score (10/3) – Moses is one of the top performers in the Stoke team this season and is one of their penalty takers. He is a regular starter and can take advantage of Hull’s back three by attacking from the left.
