We’re in store for another top quality weekend of Premier League action in what is turning into an incredibly entertaining season. There are hundreds of ways to attack the weekend from a betting perspective but we have managed to distil it down into three different accas which will give you a chance of making some money from the bookies however much risk you are willing to take.
Easy Winner – evens (Bet365)
- Over 1.5 goals in Leicester v Manchester United (2/7) – Leicester will take their attacking style of play into this table topping match against Man United and we should be in line for something of a goal fest.
- Over 1.5 goals in Bournemouth v Everton (2/9) – Bournemouth threw away a two goal lead against Swansea but they will be happy that they were able to score. They’ll come out on the front foot again but Everton have a very strong attacking force.
- Over 1.5 goals in Liverpool v Swansea (1/4) – Liverpool have a great chance to win again after their excellent result against Man City. Swansea aren’t in good form but they always have a goal threat so two goals should be the minimum we see at Anfield.
Medium Risk – 3/1 (Sky Bet)
- Crystal Palace to beat Newcastle (3/4) – Palace need to bounce back from their surprise defeat against Sunderland on Monday night and in Newcastle they have very beatable opponents. There is added incentive for Alan Pardew to beat his former employees, of course.
- Manchester City to beat Southampton (8/15) – City were very poor last time out against Liverpool but they have bounced back from disappointment before and should do so again at home to Southampton.
- Watford to beat Aston Villa (7/4) – Aston Villa are really struggling even with new man Remi Garde while Watford were unlucky to get nothing out of their game with Man United last weekend. The Hornets can hurt Villa in their own backyard on Saturday and are available at a very decent price.
Long Shot – 49/1 (BetVictor)
- Leicester to beat Man United (9/4) – Claudio Ranieri is working miracles at Leicester and there is no reason why his team cannot come up with another amazing performance and beat Man United at the King Power Stadium just like they did last season.
- Norwich and Arsenal to draw (17/5) – Norwich will be enthused by West Brom’s performance against Arsenal last weekend. The Canaries desperately need a win and they could well triumph against the odds in front of the passionate Carrow Road faithful. Alex Neil’s men defended well against Chelsea and if they can couple that with a goal or two Arsenal could suffer a second damaging defeat in two weeks.
- Eden Hazard to score against Tottenham (12/5) – Hazard looked much more effective for Chelsea when he played through the middle against Norwich last weekend. Everybody’s waiting for the Belgian to return to the form of last season and he looks close to his best so a goal in the big London derby does not look out of the question.
