There are plenty of teams who still need to come up with strong performances to qualify out of their groups into the knockout stages while others need to stay motivated having already achieved their aim. - Arsenal to beat Dinamo Zagreb (1/6) – Arsenal have to rely on other results to ensure that they get out of their group but they will surely do their part and beat Dinamo Zagreb at the Emirates on Tuesday evening.
- Porto to beat Dynamo Kiev (4/7) – A win at home in front of their own fans will be enough for Porto to make it to the next stage. Dynamo Kiev are no mugs but Porto have done fairly well so far and with their firepower should have enough to secure the win.
- Chelsea to beat Maccabi Tel Aviv (2/5) – Maccabi have looked well below the standard needed to be competitive in the top level of European football and although Chelsea have had their troubles they will surely win on their travels.
Medium Risk – 3/1 (Sky Bet)
- Lyon to beat Gent (4/6) – Lyon have been very disappointing this season but this is the final game of European football to be played at Stade de Gerland so Lyon should have enough motivation to go out and beat Gent, who still have a chance of qualification.
- Manchester Utd to beat PSV (4/9) – United have been far from convincing this season but a win against PSV at home on Wednesday and they will make it through to the group stage. Even with a few injuries Louis van Gaal’s team should get the job done and maintain their good home record.
- Real Madrid to beat Shakhtar Donetsk (4/6) – Real are still adjusting to life underneath Rafa Benitez and the travel to Ukraine to play Shakhtar will have an impact but this game should really be a formality given the strength in depth that Benitez has to call upon.
Long Shot – 42/1 (BetVictor)
- Manchester City to beat Juventus (5/2) – Juventus will have to put in a good performance to ensure that their poor season doesn’t get any worse against Man City. City are trying to make top spot their own to give themselves the best chance of getting a winnable draw in the first knockout round and they can cause an upset here.
- Wolfsburg to beat CSKA Moscow (5/2) – CSKA have suffered heartbreak in the group stage of the Champions League in their last three attempts and that pressure could be enough to play on their minds and allow Wolfsburg to take their own step towards the next round.
- Malmo/draw double chance against PSG (13/5) – Malmo and their fans have really taken to life in the Champions League. Their performances may be slightly low on quality but they are high on heart and desire and they could just spring a surprise against PSG.
