Having just played on Boxing Day the Premier League teams need to dust themselves down and try to put in a top level performance just two days later. For some it will be their first taste of the hectic Christmas schedule but even the most experienced stalwarts will not find the going easy. We’ve selected three accumulators from all the madness below to try and give your betting balance a boost ahead of the January sales.
Easy Winner – 5/6 (BetVictor)
- Arsenal to beat Bournemouth (2/5) – The difference in quality between these two means Bournemouth will need to put in a huge amount of work to get a positive result. That should be beyond them having played just a couple days previously.
- Under 3.5 goals in West Ham v Southampton (2/9) – Neither West Ham nor Southampton are firing on all cylinders just now and they will both be keen to ensure they don’t lose this one which hardly looks like being a classic.
- Over 1.5 goals in Leicester v Manchester City (1/5) – While Leicester continue to tear up the Premier League with an exciting attacking style of play, City will be doing all they can to narrow that gap at the top of the table.
Medium Risk – 11/2 (Bet365)
- Everton to beat Stoke (10/11) – In a match which pits two teams who have both played some very good stuff this season home advantage could be the thing that swings this match towards the Toffees.
- Both teams to score in Watford v Tottenham (4/5) – Watford are getting all sorts of praise and rightly so. The tough matches keep coming in the Premier League though. Spurs will pose a big test but Watford will continue to give it their all in what could be a close one.
- Norwich to beat Aston Villa (19/20) – The Canaries will count 17th place at the end of May a successful season. They’ve certainly got a better chance of achieving that at the moment than Villa do and they should be three points closer to safety after a match against a very poor Villa team.
Long Shot – 40/1 (Sky Bet)
- West Ham and Southampton to draw (12/5) – Despite the lack of form that both West Ham and Southampton are experiencing they both have good quality players who could cancel each other out on Monday evening.
- Watford and Tottenham to draw (12/5) – The two teams may be close together in the league but they have different aims. The mix of the fixture congestion and some crazy results over recent months means that both managers will be content with a point at Vicarage Road.
- Leicester and Manchester City to draw (5/2) – Man City haven’t won an away game since September while Leicester continue to surprise everybody at the top of the table. City need to battle to keep it tight at the top but may have to settle for a point which is a good result against the Foxes in their current form.
