The final round of Premier League fixtures of 2014 throw up some intriguing contests and a couple of potential crackers, with Spurs hosting a rejuvenated Manchester United and league leaders Chelsea visiting fourth placed Southampton. Here we sift through the matches and markets to bring you three more football acca betting tips of differing levels of risk as we once again seek to beat the bookies and pocket a tidy sum.
Easy Winner – 5/2 (Sky Bet)
- Man City to beat Burnley (1/6) – Man City are starting to show the kind of form that allowed them to race to the title last season having won their last nine in all competitions. Burnley – with the second worst defence in the division away from home – will be no match for the Citizens.
- Tottenham v Man United: over 2.5 goals (4/6) – United have really hit their stride recently and their away games average 2.88 goals. The last four Spurs games have seen three or more goals and overs here looks a real banker.
- Stoke to beat West Brom (17/20) – Stoke might have lost to Burnley, Leicester and Villa at home this term, but after a hard-fought win at Everton we feel Mark Hughes’ men will have enough to get the three points here against a Baggies side that doesn’t travel well.
Medium Risk – 10/1 (BetVictor)
- Southampton v Chelsea: both teams to score (19/20) – With Southampton having apparently recovered from their recent dip in form and leaders Chelsea showing no signs of slowing down, this should be a fantastic match with plenty of goalmouth action… and, in our view, at least one goal for each side.
- QPR to beat Crystal Palace (29/20) – A relegation six-pointer that Harry Redknapp’s side can definitely win given they have the eighth best home record in the division and that Palace really haven’t travelled well this season (their victory at Goodison Park aside).
- Hull to beat Leicester (13/10) – Leicester look doomed to relegation already while Hull put a wretched run of form behind them with a fine victory at Sunderland on Boxing Day. Steve Bruce’s men can kick on from that and get the three points here against a side destined to return to the Championship.
Long Shot – 55/1 (Bet365)
- West Ham to beat Arsenal (5/2) – West Ham were last beaten in the league at home way back in August and with Arsenal’s leading striker Olivier Giroud suspended and defeats at Stoke and Swansea fresh in the memory, we smell an upset here.
- Newcastle to beat Everton (19/10) – The Magpies may have been erratic of late, but Everton have been poor (losing five of their last seven in all competitions) and odds of almost 2/1 for Alan Pardew’s men to get the victory here look far too good to turn down.
- Swansea to beat Liverpool (9/2) – Liverpool are another side who are not living up to their billing this season and despite edging the win at Burnley on Boxing Day, Brendan Rodgers’ men were far from impressive. Swansea won at Old Trafford earlier in the season and we fancy they can do the same at Anfield here.
