Christmas will have been and gone but if the big day was anti-climactic, at least there are 10 juicy Premier League games on Boxing Day to help you forget the sprouts, arguments and lacklustre presents from your nearest and dearest. We weren’t too far off landing all three accas last weekend so, with a little minor tweaking of our betting radar, we’re hopeful of more success here as once again we offer up three tasty football accumulators.
Easy Winner – 6/4 (BetVictor)
- Chelsea to beat West Ham (1/3) – 6/4 is a brilliant price for this banker of an accumulator and we kick things off with the first game of Boxing Day at Stamford Bridge. West Ham are flying but Chelsea will be too good, especially at home. Sam Allardyce has parked the bus at the Bridge in the past but he won’t do that here and the home team will extend their 100% home record.
- Man City to beat West Brom (1/2) – City are finding their form and putting pressure on Chelsea and they can continue to keep pace with the leaders by defeating the Baggies here. West Brom have already lost four home games and we think that’s sure to become five by full time.
- Arsenal to beat QPR (1/4) – QPR remain pointless on the road and whilst fixtures have been unkind to them – this game will mean they have played nine away games all at sides currently in the top 11 – things will get worse before they get better.
Medium Risk – 11/2 (Sky Bet)
- Sunderland to beat Hull (11/10) – Sunderland got a massive win at St James’ last time out and a home game against woeful Hull is the perfect chance to build on that and claim back to back wins. The Tigers are second bottom and after picking up just two points from their last eight games and they look in real danger.
- Swansea to beat Aston Villa (3/4) – Swansea are superb at home and although Villa got a good point against Man United last week and are strong on the road, we tip Swansea’s possession game to see them to the three points here.
- Everton to beat Stoke (5/6) – Everton are struggling and need a win here but they should get it against a team they beat 4-0 in the corresponding game last term.
Long Shot – 146/1 (BetVictor)
- Man United to beat Newcastle to nil (29/20) – United only drew last time out but they are strong at home and given Newcastle have struggled to score all season – they average little more than a goal per game – we think the home side can claim a sixth clean sheet of the campaign, especially with the newly inspired David De Gea between the sticks.
- Burnley to beat Liverpool (18/5) – Liverpool played well in drawing with Arsenal at home but they lack cutting edge and against a Burnley side that will work tirelessly they may struggle. Turf Moor is no easy place to visit and in recent times Liverpool have often faltered just as it seemed they were turning things round and given Sean Dyche’s men beat Southampton in their last home game we see no reason why they can’t beat the Reds.
- Man City to beat West Brom 3-0 (12/1) – City may be without a recognised striker but they have plenty of players that can score goals and given the Baggies have just the 18th best home defence in the Premier League a 3-0 away win looks worth a punt here.
