As the festive fixture frenzy continues we start a new year with a full round of Premier League matches to help ease the aching heads and empty wallets. We’re almost spoiled for choice when it comes to picking out selections for our three football acca betting tips, but confident we’ve got a bet to suit all tastes.
Easy Winner – 11/4 (BetVictor)
- Man City to beat Sunderland (2/9) – City might have fluffed their lines against Burnley on Sunday, but we fancy them to bounce back in style against a Sunderland side who have won just one of their last nine in the league.
- Liverpool to beat Leicester (2/5) – Liverpool have been far from convincing for much of the season, but they should have more than enough to get the three points against bottom side Leicester at Anfield given the Foxes have lost eight and won just one of their last 10.
- West Ham to beat West Brom (5/6) – The Baggies are another side in wretched form at the moment and with West Ham high on confidence despite recent defeats to Arsenal and Chelsea, we think Sam Allardyce’s men will win this one with room to spare to round off a nice acca.
Medium Risk – 11/1 (Coral)
- Southampton v Arsenal: over 2.5 goals (evens) – Two attacking sides with all to play for looks set to produce an exciting and goal-filled game at St Mary’s on New Year’s Day, and evens for overs looks a very good price indeed.
- Liverpool v Leicester: both teams to score (4/5) – While we think the Reds will edge the victory, we do feel the visitors will have enough to get on the scoresheet after their morale-boosting victory last time out at Hull.
- Hull v Everton: draw (12/5) – Everton have lost four of their last five in the league and Hull three of their last four, so a steadying-the-ship point might suit both managers here, and though both will no doubt go for the win, we feel the stalemate is the most likely outcome.
Long Shot – 40/1 (Coral)
- Stoke to beat Manchester United (14/5) – United have managed draws from their last two away matches (at Spurs and Villa) and with Stoke having beaten Arsenal and Everton in recent weeks we fancy Mark Hughes’ men could repeat last season’s home victory over the Red Devils.
- Southampton to beat Arsenal (19/10) – Arsenal have been far from convincing on their travels this term, losing at Swansea and Stoke and drawing at Leicester, among others. The Saints gave leaders Chelsea a good game the other day and we fancy they could just nick the three points against the Gunners.
- Newcastle v Burnley: draw (11/4) – Buoyed by their draw at Man City on Sunday, Burnley will be well up for this match, and with uncertainty once again surrounding the future of Magpies boss Alan Pardew (who is being linked with the Palace job at the time of writing) we feel a draw is the value pick here to complete what could be a very lucrative acca.
