The domestic football season is almost over but before we can fully turn our attention to Euro 2016 there is the small matter of the Champions League final in Europe and the playoff finals in England. With some international friendlies to enjoy as well this week we’ve been able to put together three very tempting accas to suit those of you who want the best chance of winning and those who like taking a bit of a risk.
Easy Winner – 6/5 (BetVictor)
- England to beat Australia (1/4) – Roy Hodgson is going to try out a number of the options available to him when England play Australia on Friday night but no matter what side he puts out anything other than an England win will be a major disappointment.
- Over 1.5 goals in Ireland v the Netherlands (2/5) – Ireland have a number of players who still need to confirm their place in the squad for the Euros in France whereas the Netherlands are focusing on restoring their damaged pride. There should be plenty of goals at the Aviva Stadium.
- Germany to beat Slovakia (1/4) – Germany are one of the favourites to win Euro 2016 and they should be able to play themselves into form with a routine win over Slovakia on Sunday.
Medium Risk – 8/1 (Sky Bet)
- England to beat Australia and over 2.5 goals (9/4) – England have got a plethora of attacking options available to them and should be a constant threat to Australia at the Stadium of Light. However, they are by no means solid at the back and could well concede on their way to victory.
- Italy to beat Scotland (4/7) – Italy are being overlooked for potential glory at Euro 2016 but if they can comfortably beat Scotland on home territory they can at least show their fans that they are well placed to go far in France.
- Real Madrid to win the Champions League (8/11) – Atletico Madrid are going to make life very tough for their city rivals when they meet in the Champions League final in Milan. However, Real have been playing well under Zinedine Zidane and their quality should see them pick up an 11th European Cup.
Long Shot – 55/1 (Bet365)
- Hull to beat Sheffield Wednesday and both teams to score (9/2) – The tension at Wembley for the Championship playoff final will be incredibly intense but that will not stop a good game of football from breaking out. Hull will be pushed all the way but their experience at Wembley could be the deciding factor.
- AFC Wimbledon to beat Plymouth (2/1) – Wimbledon are fairly big underdogs against Plymouth but they can make the most of a lack of expectation on their shoulders. With all due respect to Plymouth, the country will be supporting Wimbledon as the re-formed club continues in their fight to keep moving forward and they could claim a huge win.
- Ireland to beat the Netherlands (12/5) – The Aviva Stadium is going to be rocking for this one. The Irish fans will do all they can to give their team a boost ahead of the Euros while the Dutch players can be forgiven for thinking about their holidays.
