It was a cracking weekend of action in the Premier League but no sooner has it happened as we are right back into the thick of it. On Tuesday and Wednesday it’s not just the second legs of the two Capital One Cup semi finals but there are a host of fixtures in the Football League to get excited about and you can make the most of the betting opportunities this presents with the three accas we’ve got for you below.
Easy Winner – 5/4 (BetVictor)
- Over 1.5 goals in Liverpool v Stoke (4/11) – The combination of Liverpool’s shaky defence and Stoke’s need to turn the tie around mean we should be guaranteed goals in Tuesday’s semi final.
- Over 1.5 goals in Peterborough v Burton (2/9) – Games at London Road this season average way over three goals per game so expect Peterborough and Burton to serve up an attacking, end to end contest.
- Shrewsbury/draw double chance v Oldham (4/11) – Oldham are on one of the worst runs of form of any team in the Football League and it would be a huge surprise if they turned it around against battling Shrewsbury who got a good win against Burton last time out.
Medium Risk – 14/3 (Sky Bet)
- Liverpool to beat Stoke (4/6) – Jurgen Klopp may not have been pleased with the manner of Liverpool’s win over Norwich but he’ll be confident their battling spirit can see them beat Stoke in their League Cup semi and reach Wembley.
- Both teams to score in Brentford v Leeds (5/6) – Both Brentford and Leeds are struggling to put a string of results together but they’re not a million miles off where they’d like to be and will both go for the win on Tuesday night so we are confident they will both find the net.
- Sheffield United to beat Blackpool (17/20) – Blackpool have improved in the past couple of months but they face a very tough challenge when Sheffield United come to visit on Tuesday. The Blades are looking above them, playing well and should get the win.
Long Shot – 95/1 (Bet365)
- Manchester City to win both halves against Everton (5/2) – City are a very strong team when playing in front of their own fans and although they are not expecting a sell out for the visit of Everton those that turn up should celebrate their team recording a comfortable win over a frustratingly inconsistent Everton side.
- Nottingham Forest to beat QPR and both teams to score (4/1) – Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink said his QPR team need to start really battling if they are achieve promotion. They will fight when they visit the City Ground and should score but Forest are playing really well and should have enough to overcome any setbacks to win.
- Goal in the first 10 minutes in Liverpool v Stoke (9/2) – This could well be the best match of the tournament so far and both teams will be looking to get on the scoresheet nice and early. With the action starting straight from the first whistle there could be a very early goal.
