The FA Cup returns this weekend with some great games being broadcast on the telly and a host of exciting match ups in the traditional Saturday 3pm kick offs slot. At this stage of the tournament there are still a big number of matches which means a big number of betting opportunities. To that end we have put together three accumulators of increasing degrees of risk for you below to hopefully add some excitement and profit to your weekend.
Easy Winner – 8/5 (BetVictor)
- Tottenham to beat Colchester (2/5) – Fourth in the Premier League against bottom of League One. There is going to be no upset in Essex as Spurs should ease through to the fifth round.
- Arsenal to beat Burnley (2/5) – Anything their north London rivals can do, Arsenal should be able to do just as easily. The Gunners have a plum home tie against Burnley and should be able to win even with a second string team.
- Chelsea to beat MK Dons (1/3) – All of a sudden, Chelsea have the longest unbeaten run in the Premier League and are looking more and more like their old selves. There is still work to be done but they should have it pretty much all their own way on Sunday.
Medium Risk – 23/3 (Sky Bet)
- Bournemouth to beat Portsmouth (11/8) – This South Coast derby is interesting. Portsmouth are pushing for promotion and came through against Championship opposition Ipswich in the third round but their cup run should be ended by the Cherries at Fratton Park.
- Manchester City to beat Aston Villa (4/6) – City have to improve their away record and their defence to go on and win this competition but with Sergio Aguero firing on all cylinders they have enough about them to improve on the 0-0 they achieved at Villa Park in Remi Garde’s first game in charge.
- Crystal Palace to beat Stoke (6/5) – Mark Hughes has a big job to get his players and the Stoke fans up for a cup game having lost on penalties to Liverpool in the week. Palace are not playing well but have a good chance to take advantage of Stoke’s woes at Selhurst Park.
Long Shot – 82/1 (Bet365)
- West Ham to beat Liverpool and both teams to score (13/2) – West Ham have already beaten Liverpool twice this season and although the home side should score, the Irons have goals in their team and, crucially, a belief in themselves and they can win against the odds once more.
- Derby to beat Manchester United (3/1) – According to press reports, Louis van Gaal offered to resign after United lost to Southampton at the weekend. He is still there but that may not be the case after a tricky trip to Pride Park.
- Nottingham Forest to beat Watford (7/4) – Forest are on a very impressive unbeaten run at the moment and at the City Ground they’ll have the confidence that they can beat a team they were playing as equals only last season. This will be no easy afternoon for the Hornets.
