After a smattering of midweek action we’ve got a slightly truncated weekend of Premier League football due to the FA Cup semi finals at Wembley. Still there are seven games to enjoy spread over Saturday, Sunday and Monday and you know what that means – loads of chances to beat the bookies. We’ve put together three accas with that very aim below so let’s see if we can find some tasty winning bets.
Easy Winner – 10/9 (BetVictor)
- Manchester City to beat Stoke (1/3) – Man City were frustrated against Newcastle in midweek but they should be much happier at the final whistle against Stoke who seem to have mentally checked out of this season.
- Tottenham to beat West Brom (1/4) – West Brom won’t simply allow Spurs to win again to boost their title credentials but even if the Baggies play their best game of the season they will find it hard to leave White Hart Lane with anything to show for their troubles.
- Over 1.5 goals in Bournemouth v Chelsea (2/7) – It’s a case of job done for Bournemouth who will be playing in the Premier League once again next season while Chelsea have a new manager to look forward to. With the pressure very off, this pair may just serve up a classic.
Medium Risk – 27/10 (Sky Bet)
- Both teams to score in Liverpool v Newcastle (8/13) – If Newcastle are to be relegated they will not go down without a fight. Liverpool are a tough match for anybody under Jurgen Klopp at Anfield but the Toon Army should at least have a goal to celebrate.
- Tottenham -1 goal handicap against West Brom (4/6) – Spurs are playing the best football in the country at the moment and if the season were five games longer they would surely win the title. That may be agonisingly beyond them but they can once again romp to a comfortable victory at White Hart Lane.
- Leicester to beat Swansea (3/4) – This is a huge match for Leicester who will be well tested against Swansea. Their task has been made harder with the suspension to Jamie Vardy but with the backing of the King Power they can drag themselves over the line.
Long Shot – 100/1 (Bet365)
- Sunderland to beat Arsenal and both teams to score (7/1) – Sunderland showed they were up for the fight against Norwich and will be fired up for the visit of Arsenal. They’ll struggle to stop the Gunners scoring but could just do enough to secure a massive three points.
- Manchester City to beat Stoke to nil (11/10) – Stoke’s performances against Liverpool and Spurs showed that they have little left to play for and as City still have work to do to ensure their top four place they should come through this unscathed.
- Bournemouth to beat Chelsea and both teams to score (5/1) – You get the feeling a win would mean much more to Bournemouth than to Chelsea and cheered on by a happy and content Dean Court the Cherries are capable of getting the job done.
