There are some Premier League “games in hand” to finish up this week, alongside a regular midweek round of Championship matches. That gives us a whole host of opportunities to win some bets at the bookies and to that end we have put together three accumulators below, an easy winner, one of medium risk and an exciting long shot.
Easy Winner – 7/5 (BetVictor)
- Over 1.5 goals in Brentford v Cardiff (1/3) – Brentford have not reached the levels of last season but they are an exciting side to watch and in a well matched game against Cardiff there should be plenty of goalscoring opportunities.
- Burnley/draw double chance against Middlesbrough (2/5) – This a huge match at the top of the Championship. Both sides are currently in the automatic promotion places but Burnley’s terrific home record and recent form means they will be incredibly hard to beat.
- Over 1.5 goals in West Ham v Watford (3/10) – There are few more exciting teams to watch in the top flight at the moment than West Ham. Their array of top quality attackers, some tired legs and a less than convincing defence should see plenty of goals at the Boleyn against Watford.
Medium Risk – 5/1 (Sky Bet)
- Liverpool to beat Everton (4/6) – Given the couple of weeks that Liverpool have had they are flying and very much looking forward to the future under Jurgen Klopp. Everton fans meanwhile are looking forward to a future under anyone other than Roberto Martinez and it could well be the red half of Merseyside who are happier still after Wednesday’s derby.
- Brighton to beat QPR (4/7) – Brighton cannot afford to lose ground in the battle for automatic promotion and with the top two playing each other Chris Hughton’s men will be extra motivated to get the win against QPR at the Amex.
- Derby to beat Bristol City (5/4) – Bristol City are one of those Championship sides in limbo until the end of the season. They’re not going up and they’re not going down but Derby still have to ensure they book a place in the play-offs. One win should probably do it and they can get that against a less than fully motivated City side on Tuesday.
Long Shot – 156/1 (Bet365)
- Crystal Palace to beat Manchester United (13/2) – It would be typical of the season that Manchester United and Louis van Gaal are having for them to get beaten by a poor Palace team at Old Trafford and then go on to reach the FA Cup final at the weekend.
- Fulham to beat Ipswich (29/10) – Fulham have to be the most disappointing Championship side of the last two years but they are on a decent run just now and can take advantage of an out of form Ipswich.
- Bolton to beat Charlton and both teams to score (22/5) – Having fought against relegation so hard all season the pressure will be off now that Bolton and Charlton will be playing in League 1 next season which could let the players play and result in an exciting home win.
