The group stage of the Champions League is drawing to a close. With just two games left to go before we get into the nitty gritty of the tournament, things are getting too close for comfort for several well fancied clubs. With so much drama ahead of us, this week should throw up a combination of expected and surprise results. That makes it the perfect time for us to create three trebles of increasing odds to satisfy your Champions League betting.
Short Price – 7/5 (Coral)
- Man City to be winning at half time and full time against Feyenoord (2/5) – Man City have already confirmed their place in the knockout stages but Pep Guardiola knows the importance of winning your group. He won’t allow anything other than full commitment from his players who should be winning at both half time and full time.
- PSG to beat Celtic and over 2.5 goals (1/4) – PSG are also assured their place in the next round having scored 17 goals and conceded none. They were too much for Celtic in Glasgow and should be similarly comfortable in Paris.
- Chelsea to beat Qarabag (2/5) – Qarabag qualified for the Champions League with great hope and excitement but they’ve found the going incredibly tough amongst Europe’s elite. Chelsea should inflict further damage on Wednesday.
Medium Risk – 8/1 (Betfair)
- Both teams to score in Besiktas v Porto (8/11) – Besiktas and Porto currently occupy the top two places in Group G. Porto are in for a tough game in Turkey but they’ve scored in every match so far and should keep that run going.
- Over 2.5 goals in Borussia Dortmund v Tottenham (13/20) – Dortmund are in trouble in Group H. They have little chance of qualification but won’t be giving up just yet. Expect the Bundesliga side to take the game to Spurs even if that opens up space for the away team to exploit on the counter.
- Man United to beat Basel to nil (9/4) – Basel have done very well to date in Group A but they have a very tough task against Man United. Jose Mourinho’s men should be able to shut the Swiss side out whilst securing the three points they need to qualify.
Long Shot – 51/1 (Bet365)
- RB Leipzig to beat Monaco (2/1) – Monaco have had a shocker in the Champions League so far and it doesn’t get any easier with the visit of RB Leipzig. The Bundesliga side have attacked the tournament with gusto and could secure a huge three points on Tuesday.
- CSKA Moscow to beat Benfica and both teams to score (10/3) – CSKA will be eyeing up second place in Group A with a win over bottom place Benfica on Wednesday. However, their poor defensive record means they’ll surely have to score more than one to pick up three points.
- Anderlecht/draw double chance against Bayern Munich (3/1) – Bayern Munich were more than a little lucky to beat Celtic last time out and having already qualified, there’s every chance Jupp Heynckes will rest players once more against Anderlecht. That could bring about a shock result in Belgium.
