After the international break the Champions League is back and there are some really interesting fixtures for us to enjoy this week. As well as being entertained, we can go into the weekend with some profit thanks to all the betting opportunities laid out in front of us. Easy Winner – evens (Bet365)
- Barcelona to beat BATE (1/3) – BATE may have claimed a major scalp when they beat Roma at home in their first game of the Champions League but they will almost certainly be turned over by Barcelona who have come through these sort of tricky matches time and time again.
- Juventus to beat Monchengladbach (4/9) – Juventus my not be firing on all cylinders in Serie A but they are doing just fine in Europe and they’ll be very disappointed not to come through unscathed against Gladbach at home.
- Atletico Madrid to beat Astana (1/7) – This is an absolute lock. Atletico have reached the final of the Champions League in recent years while the Kazakhstani side have never even been in the group stage before.
Medium Risk – 7/2 (Sky Bet)
- Zenit to beat Lyon (10/11) – Lyon are not looking anything like the side who did so well last season and with a long trip to Zenit ahead of them, they will find Tuesday’s game incredibly tough.
- CSKA/Draw double chance (4/9) – Man Utd have hardly been convincing this season and they have a daunting trip to Russia to play CSKA. The Moscow side are very tough to beat at home and they should have enough to avoid defeat against Louis van Gaal’s unpredictable United outfit.
- Wolfsburg to beat PSV (4/6) – Wolfsburg may have lost some big players over the summer but they are still a very good team who could surprise many people this season. They’ll have a good time of it against PSV and should send their fans home happy.
Long Shot – 31/1 (BetVictor)
- Real Madrid to beat PSG (15/8) – Real are the underdogs for this game but they are good enough to beat anyone in world football and they have plenty of experience of these tricky European ties.
- Chelsea to beat Dynamo Kiev (8/5) – Chelsea have been very poor this season including in their last game against Porto but they are still largely the same team as last season and coming off an easy game against Aston Villa they should have enough in the tank to beat Dynamo and get their European campaign back on track.
- Roma to beat Leverkusen (16/5) – Roma will be playing for Roman pride when they take on Leverkusen. The German side knocked out Roma’s rivals Lazio in the qualifying stage of the Champions League and having gained just one point from their opening two games, Roma know they need a big performance in Germany. They’ve got the players and the ability so can upset the odds.
