The Premier League returns after a short break this weekend and as usual there are some intriguing matches. With two new managers in the shape of Jurgen Klopp and Sam Allardyce to enter the fray, we could be in line for one of the best weekends of action so far. As ever, we don’t leave you to the huge array of betting options available. Far from it, below are the three best accas from the 10 games taking place this weekend.
Easy Winner – evens (Bet365)
- Man City to beat Bournemouth (1/3) – City have had a couple of dodgy results this season but they will surely ease past Bournemouth even with the injury concerns that they currently have.
- Over 1.5 goals in Tottenham v Liverpool (1/4) – There is going to be a very good atmosphere for this game. Spurs have lost five in a row against Liverpool but they’ll fancy their chances so will go for it in a game that usually guarantees goals.
- Chelsea to beat Aston Villa (1/3) – If Jose Mourinho could pick a game that would get his Chelsea players back into the swing of things it would be Aston Villa at home. Tim Sherwood’s men are really struggling so this should be an easy home win.
Medium Risk – 5/1 (Sky Bet)
- Southampton to beat Leicester (3/4) – Southampton haven’t quite hit the heights of last season but they’ve been on a generally upward curve and should have enough to put a dent in Leicester’s incredibly impressive start to the season.
- Sunderland or Draw against West Brom (8/11) – In Sam Allardyce’s first game as Sunderland manager he returns to the place of his birth. He’s got a great record in his first games and with West Brom struggling, the Black Cats have a good chance to go back home having avoided defeat.
- Swansea to beat Stoke (10/11) – These are two teams who are difficult to predict but Garry Monk knows that Swansea have to improve from a poor run of form. They should be able to dominate the ball and get all three points against Stoke.
Long Shot – 44/1 (BetVictor)
- West Ham to beat Crystal Palace (10/3) – This is going to be a well contested match between two good sides however, they are both better on their travels and with West Ham able to play on the counter they could just have the edge at Selhurst Park.
- Diego Costa to score against Aston Villa (5/6) – Costa is hardly the most popular player in the Premier League but he should be able to stop kicking people and concentrate on scoring against the leaky Aston Villa defence on Saturday.
- Over 4.5 goals in Watford v Arsenal (9/2) – Watford have the direct attacking options to cause Arsenal all manner of headaches during Saturday’s late game while Arsenal, one of the best attacking units in the league, are playing well. This could be one of the highest scoring matches of the season so we’re going big on the number of goals for a tasty payout.
