Christmas is almost upon us and we’ve got three lovely presents for you in the shape of our regular football accumulators. Whether you like your accas to pack a big odds punch or you’re after something to double your money, we’ve got a treble to suit; so read on as we cast our eyes over the three days of Premier League action taking place from Saturday to Monday.
Easy Winner – 6/4 (Coral)
- Chelsea to beat Hull (2/11) – Chelsea may have been downed by Newcastle but they’ll be straight back to winning ways here against a Hull outfit in a real relegation battle.
- Arsenal to beat Newcastle (4/9) – Arsenal also slipped up at the weekend, losing 3-2 at bogey side Stoke. However, they remain very strong on home soil and will be massively buoyed by the return to form of Aaron Ramsey and their confident win in Turkey on Tuesday.
- Everton to beat QPR (4/9) – Everton are stuttering in the league but with the Europa League now done and dusted they will want to start accumulating some points and a home game against poor-travelling Rangers is perfect, especially given they will have had the luxury of resting players on Thursday having already won their Europa group.
Medium Risk – 6/1 (BetVictor)
- Man City to beat Leicester (1/2) – Backing away teams at such short prices is a dangerous game but Leicester are poor and City, even without Sergio Aguero, should prove far too strong. The atmosphere at Leicester may not help the home side either and the Citizens look like a banker here.
- Man United to beat Liverpool (4/5) – United have won five league games in a row and given Liverpool were dumped out of the Champions League on Tuesday we have to side with the home team. Liverpool will be tired, mentally and physically, and Louis van Gaal’s men have been very strong this term at Old Trafford.
- Swansea to beat Tottenham (6/4) – Swansea are doing fantastically well, helped by Wilfried Bony’s brilliant form and against a Spurs side who face a big Europa game in Turkey before this one the home team have to be well fancied, especially at odds of 6/4.
Long Shot – 84/1 (BetVictor)
- Burnley and Southampton to draw (27/10) – Southampton are very big favourites here but they have to be opposed away from home given Burnley are unbeaten in three home games. The Saints have lost three in a row and despite those losses coming against top sides it has to have had an impact on confidence so backing the Clarets to record a fifth home draw looks good.
- Sunderland and West Ham to draw 1-1 (6/1) – Sunderland are the Premier League draw kings, having shared the points in nine of their 15 games including five of eight at home. They look good for a third 1-1 of the season at home against a Hammers side in good nick.
- Man United to win to nil (23/10) – United should prove too good for Liverpool and given they have the fourth best defence in the top flight and concede less than a goal a game at home we think they will keep out a Liverpool outfit who are low on confidence and devoid of creativity. The Kop side will be demoralised after their Champions League exit too and both physically and mentally drained, and 2-0 to the home side is our correct score prediction.
