Wednesday and Thursday are huge days in European football. Not only do we have the semi finals of the European Championships but the European dream is only just beginning for a number of domestic sides. There are a whole host of qualifiers for the Champions League and Europa League taking place this week and to capitalise on all this action we’ve put together three accumulators to help you make some profit from the bookies. Here’s hoping for some winners!
Easy Winner – 11/10 (BetVictor)
- Over 1.5 goals in Germany v France (40/85) – There will be plenty of nerves as Germany take on France but there should also be plenty of goals given the amount of attacking talent on display.
- Draw/Hearts double chance against FC Tallinna (1/5) – Hearts have a healthy lead against their Estonian competitors and should be able to comfortably avoid defeat in the second leg of their Europa League qualifier.
- Draw/Aberdeen against Esch Fola (1/5) – Aberdeen are in an even stronger position against Esch Fola. They will have to get used to the surroundings in Luxembourg but Aberdeen are by far the better team and should cruise through without any fuss.
Medium Risk – 7/1 (Sky Bet)
- Wales to beat Portugal (3/1) – It’s hard to see why Wales are as big as 3/1 to beat Portugal. They have been playing some scintillating football since touching down in France while Portugal have been fairly dull. Wales have all the momentum behind them and a place in the final beckons.
- AIK to beat Bala Town (4/9) – Bala Town know that European football is nothing more than a dream for them but after losing 2-0 to AIK in the first leg, the dream should well and truly be ended after the return leg.
- Cork City to beat Linfield (2/5) – Cork City claimed a narrow 1-0 win at Windsor Park against Linfield and buoyed by that big win they should be able to complete the job at home. Expect the Irish side to beat their neighbours from the North in this first round match of Europa League qualifying.
Long Shot – 17/1 (Bet365)
- Gareth Bale to score against Portugal (7/4) – Cristiano Ronaldo is the senior figure at Real Madrid but his club teammate may be about to teach him a thing or two about working together with your team. Gareth Bale has been brilliant in France and can add to his tally of goals at odds of 7/4.
- Germany and France to draw (2/1) – Both Germany and France have looked very good at times during Euro 2016 but they’ve also looked a little shaky when put under pressure. This is a well matched game which could require more than 90 minutes to be settled.
- St Patricks to beat Jeunesse Esch (23/20) – St Patricks could only secure a narrow 1-0 win against Jeunesse Esch in the home leg of their Europa League qualifying tie. However, they will believe they have what it takes to advance to the next round by winning the second leg in Luxembourg.
