With an international break following this weekend’s Premier League fixtures, managers and players will want to take the opportunity to get three points on the board as they’ll have to wait two whole weeks for their next chance.
With a couple of big, big games – namely Chelsea versus Arsenal and Manchester United versus Everton – we anticipate another cracking weekend of top flight action. But can we make it profitable too? With our three accumulators we certainly hope so.
Easy Winner – 9/4 (Sky Bet)
- Aston Villa v Man City: Over 1.5 goals (1/4) – Man City’s last three league matches have produced 12 goals and with Villa having suffered 3-0 defeats in their last two we think this is a safe-as-houses option.
- Leicester v Burnley: Leicester or draw (1/6) – Burnley have scored one goal in six league matches, and we can’t see that changing against a bright and tidy Leicester side. Backing the home side to win or draw looks an assured path to profit.
- Man United v Everton: Over 2.5 goals (8/15) – The way Man United and Everton have been playing recently we could have plumped for over 4.5 goals here with some confidence, but over 2.5 is as nailed on a bet as we’ll find this weekend to complete our easy-money acca.
Medium Risk – 11/1 (Bet365)
- Leicester to beat Burnley (4/5) – With wins over Stoke and Man United and draws with Everton and Arsenal, Leicester have shown they have settled well into life in the top flight. Burnley, on the other hand, haven’t. We think the Foxes will win this one with room to spare. .
- Man United v Everton: Both teams to score in the first half (3/1) – Two very attacking teams who will go all out for the win and aren’t defending too well at the moment means one thing: goals. Backing both to score in the first half looks top value here to up the odds of our medium risk acca.
- Chelsea to beat Arsenal (4/6) – Chelsea beat Arsenal twice and drew with them once last season, and – especially if Diego Costa is fit – we think they’ll have the beating of them again at the Bridge on Sunday.
Long Shot – 66/1 (BetVictor)
- Everton to beat Man United and over 2.5 goals (13/2) – United have looked vulnerable in almost every match they’ve played this season, and without the battling spirit of captain Wayne Rooney we think the visitors could get the three points at Old Trafford in what should be a high-scoring and entertaining match.
- Chelsea to win to nil (19/10) – Chelsea had the measure of Arsenal last season, beating them 6-0 at home and not conceding against them in three meetings. We fancy Jose Mourinho’s men will ease to a 1-0 or 2-0 win in this one and backing them to win to nil looks a solid option.
- Sunderland v Stoke: Draw (21/10) – Unlikely to be the first game on Match of the Day, we fancy this will be a dour affair which will end 1-1 or 0-0 and is a good one to include on the acca but to avoid watching.
