We move from April to May this weekend and you know what that means – the end of the Premier League season is nearly upon us. Fear not though, we’ve still got a few more weekends of top flight action to enjoy and there are yet more cracking matches in prospect spread over the coming four days. We’ve put together three accas of increasing odds to help add a bit more excitement – and hopefully profit – to your weekend.
Easy Winner – 6/4 (BetVictor)
- Over 1.5 goals in Everton v Bournemouth (2/9) – Everton need to show whether they are still playing for their manager Roberto Martinez in their remaining matches. They will take the game to Bournemouth but will their defensive issues strike again?
- Under 3.5 goals in Watford v Aston Villa (3/10) – This is a match between two teams who would quite like the season to end now thank you very much. The game at Vicarage Road looks destined to be last on Match of the Day.
- Both teams to score in Chelsea v Tottenham (8/13) – The title race may be over by the time that Spurs get to Stamford Bridge but they will still be desperate to give their fans another memorable night. Chelsea, meanwhile, will be doing everything in their power to upset the Spurs contingent.
Medium Risk – 10/1 (Sky Bet)
- Sunderland to beat Stoke (17/10) – Sunderland were unlucky not to beat Arsenal last weekend while Stoke were humbled by Tottenham. The Black Cats continue to fight and should beat a demotivated Stoke side.
- Liverpool to beat Swansea (13/10) – Liverpool may have had a tough match against Villarreal on Thursday but Jurgen Klopp’s side are resilient and in a very good run of form. Compare that to a Swansea side who look to be thinking about pina coladas and sun loungers and you’ve got the recipe for an away win.
- Both teams to score in West Brom v West Ham (5/6) – West Ham are upset about a number of recent refereeing decisions but the truth is that if they had improved their defending they would be higher up the table. West Brom can exploit the West Ham defence but will struggle to stop the Irons from scoring.
Long Shot – 42/1 (Bet365)
- Chelsea to beat Tottenham and both teams to score (4/1) – This could be the weekend when Spurs finally thrown in the white towel. Chelsea would love to be the team to inflict the final blow in an entertaining match.
- Southampton to beat Manchester City (17/10) – Manchester City need to save their energy for a huge night in Madrid on Wednesday and any hint of them taking their eye off the ball will allow Southampton to pounce.
- Newcastle to beat Crystal Palace to nil (11/5) – Everybody knows about Crystal Palace’s problems in front of goal. Their midfield and attackers have been well below par this season which is music to the ears of Rafa Benitez who will need another huge performance at both ends of the pitch from his Newcastle players.
