Domestic football may be taking a back seat to the international game this weekend but that doesn’t mean that we will be taking a break from bringing you the best accumulators for this week’s football. As ever you will find an easy winner, a medium risk and a long shot treble below so you can profit from the upcoming European Championship qualifiers.
Easy Winner – 8/11 (BetVictor)
- Switzerland to beat Estonia (2/9) – Switzerland have been playing catch-up in Group E since their defeat at home by England. They host an Estonia side who couldn’t muster a goal against San Marino on their travels. This is a home banker if ever there was one.
- Belgium to beat Cyprus (1/8) – Belgium are another team who need to make up ground in their group. Currently, Wales and Israel are above them but a routine win at home against Cyprus will see them back on track.
- Spain to beat Ukraine (3/10) – Spain’s defeat away to Slovakia was an aberration that they will be looking to put firmly behind them by getting out of Group C as leaders. To do that they will need to beat a Ukraine side who have won both of their away games so far. Spain offer a much tougher challenge to Belarus and Luxembourg though so this should be another relatively easy win for the home side.
Medium Risk – 13/2 (Totesport)
- Croatia v Norway: over 2.5 goals (6/5) – Games involving both of these two tend to include plenty of goals and the match looks finely poised. Expect both teams to try for the win and to serve up an exciting game and a winning first leg of our acca.
- England to win both halves against Lithuania (10/11) – Roy Hodgson will be expecting his England side to make it five wins out of five against Lithuania on Friday night. The hosts are the better team by some distance so will be looking to dominate from the off. They should score in each half and keeping a clean sheet should be very doable so backing them to win both halves makes perfect sense.
- Wales to win or draw against Israel (5/6) – Chris Coleman’s team have been playing well in this campaign and will use their stalemate draw against Belgium as inspiration for a potentially tricky tie against Israel. Back them not to lose against Israel to complete this acca.
Long Shot – 30/1 (Bet365)
- Wayne Rooney to score against Lithuania (4/6) – The England captain will lead by example as ever on Friday night. With all the hype surrounding Harry Kane, Rooney will be desperate to score and show the world that he is still the main man for the national team.
- Gareth Bale to score against Israel (15/8) Bale has been struggling at Real Madrid recently due to a lack of form and some criticism from the club’s fans. Therefore, he may relish the opportunity to play his football for Wales where he is very much the go-to man. He has scored vital goals for his country in qualifying already and could well do likewise in Israel.
- Aiden McGeady to score against Poland (11/2) – The Everton winger has had more shots on target than any other Irish player in qualifying so far and has two goals to his name already. He can be the player to send the Irish fans into raptures on Sunday evening.
