After this weekend’s round of fixtures we will be over a third of the way through the Premier League season. While some teams have exceeded early expectations, others are desperately upset with where they find themselves in the table. There are more big league games this weekend and we’ve gone through them all to provide you with three accas to cover you whether you want to play it safe or go for a bigger risk/reward ratio.
Easy Winner – 3/2 (BetVictor)
- Man City to beat Burnley (1/3) – Burnley have been doing very well in their second crack at the Premier League but they were worryingly poor in losing 4-0 against West Brom. Man City should take full advantage of any nervousness in the Burnley ranks.
- Over 1.5 goals in Southampton v Everton (1/3) – Southampton and Everton view each other as direct rivals in the Premier League. They’ll both want to prove their quality on Sunday so expect an entertaining fixture.
- Under 3.5 goals in Man United v West Ham (2/5) – West Ham had their fingers burnt thanks to some sloppy defending in the closing stages of their game against Man United. They will have to maintain their concentration against Man United who couldn’t quite find a killer second goal against Arsenal.
Medium Risk – 6/1 (Sky Bet)
- Man City to beat Burnley and over 2.5 goals (8/13) – Whether or not Man City are able to keep a clean sheet against Burnley, Pep Guardiola’s men should score numerous goals at Turf Moor.
- Chelsea to beat Tottenham (3/4) – Tottenham have not been at their best over the past couple of months but they continue to avoid defeat. That run should end at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. The Blues are playing incredibly well at the moment while Spurs put in a big shift in midweek against Monaco.
- Watford to beat Stoke (7/5) – Watford have gone about their business nice and quietly this season. Slightly under the radar they may be but they are eighth in the league and could climb as high as sixth with a win over Stoke. The Potters were very poor against Bournemouth last time out and it’ll take a big improvement to avoid slipping to another defeat at Vicarage Road.
Long Shot – 83/1 (Bet365)
- Middlesbrough to beat Leicester (16/5) – Leicester booked their place in the knockout stage of the Champions League on Tuesday but they’re finding life much tougher domestically. Middlesbrough got nothing against Chelsea despite playing well but a similarly good performance should result in three points at the King Power.
- Swansea to beat Crystal Palace and both teams to score (15/4) – This could be Alan Pardew’s final game in charge of Crystal Palace. The Eagles should be able to score against Swansea’s porous defence but some key players have fallen out with their manager which is never good news. This is surely the Swans’ best chance of winning under Bob Bradley.
- Man United and West Ham to draw (16/5) – Amazingly, nobody has won a Premier League game in Manchester since 24 September. Not United, not City, not any of their opponents. That run could well continue on the weekend when West Ham visit Old Trafford.
