There are plenty of Premier League teams left in the draw for the League Cup. We’ve also got a selection of exciting Championship teams looking to show what they can do against the best in the country so excitement is all but guaranteed on Tuesday and Wednesday. To add to that excitement, we’ve put together three trebles of increasing odds for you to get stuck into below.
Easy Winner – 21/20 (Bet365)
- Arsenal to beat Norwich (2/9) – Norwich will be well up for their game at the Emirates but Arsenal have strength in depth in their squad and should book their place in the quarter finals without too much drama.
- Man United to beat Swansea (2/5) – Man United ran out comfortable 4-0 winners when they met Swansea in their second game of the Premier League season. Their second trip to the Liberty Stadium may not be quite as comfortable but they should end up with the same result.
- Over 2.5 goals in Man City v Wolves (1/5) – Wolves spent big in the summer to try to get back into the Premier League and their performances in the Championship are improving all the time. They’ll surely find Man City far too strong at the Etihad but don’t be surprised if they play their part in an entertaining match.
Medium Risk – 6/1 (Coral)
- Both teams to score in Bristol City v Crystal Palace (4/6) – Roy Hodgson will use the game against Bristol City to find out a little more about the players he’s not yet used since taking over as Crystal Palace manager. They’ll be keen to impress but so will Bristol City who are among the top scorers in the Championship so far.
- Bournemouth to keep a clean sheet against Middlesbrough (31/20) – Eddie Howe has made a concerted effort to tighten Bournemouth up as a defensive unit. That work should pay off against Middlesbrough at the Vitality Stadium.
- Both teams to score in Tottenham v West Ham (8/13) – The League Cup is a drain on resources but both Tottenham and West Ham have plenty of options in their squad, especially in attacking positions. This should be a proper blood and thunder London derby.
Long Shot – 160/1 (Bet365)
- Bristol City to beat Crystal Palace and both teams to score (15/4) – Bristol City have already come through entertaining games against both Watford and Stoke in the League Cup. We could be in line for more of the same when Crystal Palace visit Ashton Gate as City look to make the quarter finals.
- Leeds to beat Leicester (13/2) – The Leicester squad is far from happy with the decision to sack Craig Shakespeare. That does not fill caretaker manager, Michael Appleton, with confidence that they’ll turn in a performance against a Leeds side who need a big result.
- Tottenham and West Ham to draw (7/2) – This should be a cracker. It’s a London derby, in the cup, under the lights at Wembley Stadium. Don’t be surprised if it takes more than 90 minutes to sort out the winner on Wednesday night.
