The football has come at us thick and fast this week. We had the third round of the EFL Cup following hot on the heels of last weekend’s Premier League action and it’s back to the league campaign on Saturday. With yet more top quality action to enjoy, we’ve put together three trebles of increasing odds to keep you covered for your weekend bets.
Easy Winner – 11/10 (Betfair)
- Under 3.5 goals in West Ham v Tottenham (2/5) – There have been two goals or fewer scored the last four times West Ham have hosted Tottenham. With neither side in great shape, this could be another tight encounter.
- Man City to beat Crystal Palace (1/7) – Crystal Palace secured a good win the League Cup but it may be some time before they pick up three points in the Premier League. It will certainly be a big shock if they are able to avoid defeat at the Etihad on Saturday.
- Arsenal to beat West Brom (1/3) – West Brom started the season very well but it’s three games without a win now and it doesn’t get any easier on Monday. Arsenal picked up a significant point at Stamford Bridge and should secure all three against West Brom.
Medium Risk – 10/1 (Ladbrokes)
- Under 2.5 goals in Everton v Bournemouth (19/20) – Bournemouth secured a couple of much needed wins in the league and cup this last week. That will give the Cherries confidence when they head to Goodison Park on Saturday. Everton are short of confidence and goals so this could be something of a slog.
- Chelsea to beat Stoke (6/10) – Stoke followed up defeat against Newcastle with a shocker against Bristol City. The Potters are in danger of slipping further down the Premier League table, especially with the visit of Chelsea to the Bet365 Stadium on Saturday.
- Leicester and Liverpool to draw (13/5) – Jurgen Klopp is in need of a big result this weekend. He may be disappointed. Leicester were very good in the second half of their EFL Cup game whereas Liverpool had the better of the first half. This looks a close game which could end up with both teams sharing the spoils.
Long Shot – 63/1 (Coral)
- West Ham and Tottenham to draw (3/1) – Tottenham have not enjoyed their recent away games against West Ham. The Irons have won both their last home matches against Spurs and have tightened up impressively at the back. The first game of the weekend could end with a draw.
- Man United to beat Southampton to nil (3/1) – Southampton fans are not delighted with their football under Mauricio Pellegrino. They look flat going forwards which is not good news ahead of this one against a feisty-looking Man United side. Expect another comfortable afternoon for Mourinho’s men.
- Brighton to beat Newcastle to nil (3/1) – Chris Hughton has fond memories of his time at Newcastle but he’ll have a very solid plan to stop his old team at the Amex. Brighton need to rely on their home form and they could well secure their second win in front of their own fans.
