The Champions League was welcomed back by football fans all over the world last week and it is back again on Tuesday and Wednesday for the second group of teams to begin the knockout stages. There are some cracking games but if you want to add to the excitement you can get involved with our three accas below, which will give you a chance of winning, whatever level of risk you are comfortable with.
Easy Winner – 5/6 (BetVictor)
- Draw/Atletico Madrid double chance against PSV (1/5) – PSV were fairly fortunate to make it through to the knockout stages and they will find it very tough to record a win over Diego Simeone’s excellent Atletico Madrid team.
- Over 1.5 goals in Arsenal v Barcelona (2/11) – Arsenal’s attacking players plus Barcelona’s attacking players equals a game full of goals.
- Over 1.5 goals in Dynamo Kiev v Manchester City (1/3) – This is not going to be an easy tie for City to get through but they will make it a lot less difficult if they manage to score in Kiev which, with all their talented forwards, they should be able to manage at least once.
Medium Risk – 7/1 (Sky Bet)
- Barcelona to beat Arsenal (7/10) – This may be the most exciting Premier League campaign of recent years but the quality of the top teams compared to those in the rest of Europe could be laid bare when Barcelona visit the Emirates to take on Arsenal. A draw would be a great result for the Gunners but even that looks unlikely.
- Both teams to score in Juventus v Bayern Munich (5/6) – The bookies have Bayern as the favourites for this match but Juventus are used to winning games at home and proved they can defy the odds in the Champions League. In a close match, both teams to score looks the best betting option.
- Both teams to score and either team to win in Dynamo Kiev v Manchester City (4/5) – Depending on which team turns up in top form, this one could go either way. Both teams should find the net and it would be no surprise if one of them nicked a win to put them in pole position.
Long Shot – 83/1 (Bet365)
- Barcelona to beat Arsenal and both teams to score (21/10) – Barcelona should get the win in north London but the hosts have what it takes to breach the defence of the defending champions.
- Atletico Madrid to beat PSV and both teams to score (7/2) – Atletico are much the stronger side here but PSV have to try and make the most of their home tie so they could well grab a goal even if they don’t end up taking anything from the match.
- Juventus and Bayern Munich to draw 1-1 (5/1) – Juventus will be difficult to beat on Tuesday night but so will Bayern. Both sides will be looking to make sure this tie is alive come the second leg and a 1-1 draw could suit them nicely.
