We are rapidly approaching squeaky bum time in the Premier League. It has been such an entertaining season so far and with the final eight matches to come the excitement level could be ratcheted up even higher. With important games almost everywhere that you look this weekend we have made sure to give you plenty of choice with our three accas below. Let’s get cracking with the bets.
Easy Winner – evens (BetVictor)
- Over 1.5 goals in Everton v Arsenal (2/9) – If either Everton or Arsenal knew how to defend properly their fans would be much happier. Both have been incredibly frustrating this season but their impressive attacking units should be on top in the first game of the weekend.
- Under 3.5 goals in Crystal Palace v Leicester (1/4) – Palace are desperate to find some form from somewhere or they could be sucked into the relegation battle. Against table toppers Leicester they are going to be preoccupied with not losing so this could be a low scoring affair.
- Over 1.5 goals in Manchester City v Manchester United (1/3) – Neither Manchester side has got their first choice defence available to them while both have been scoring a fair few goals of late. In the passion and heat of the derby there could be a lot of goalmouth action to enjoy.
Medium Risk – 13/3 (Sky Bet)
- West Brom to beat Norwich (23/20) – Norwich are in freefall at the moment. Without a win since early January they are looking like dead certs for relegation and with their shocking away record they are unlikely to avoid defeat at the Hawthorns where the fans have become used to winning of late.
- Swansea to beat Aston Villa (8/13) – This is perhaps the most winnable game that Aston Villa have until the end of the season. They won’t win it though. Everyone attached to the club is just wishing for the season to end and Swansea should be able to inflict more misery on Remi Garde’s men.
- Tottenham to beat Bournemouth (8/13) – Spurs need to keep on pushing Leicester all the way at the top of the table but they will not find it as easy on Sunday as they did when they last played Bournemouth. This won’t be a thrashing but it should still be a home win.
Long Shot – 87/1 (Bet365)
- Leicester to beat Crystal Palace to nil (3/1) – Neither Palace nor Leicester like to keep the ball and they prefer to attack directly with pace. The Foxes are clearly much better at that and should win without too much trouble.
- Southampton to beat Liverpool and both teams to score (9/2) – Both of these sides will be looking for a spot in the top four next season but for now their fans will have to settle for an entertaining game on Sunday which the Saints can just shade.
- Manchester United to beat Manchester City (3/1) – City’s main issue this season has been their performances against teams towards the top of the table and that may be a problem once again in the derby especially with their defensive injury concerns.
