The qualifying stages of the Champions League and Europa League are nearly finished. There is just one more tie separating the teams from the group stages with the first legs taking place this week. Easy Winner – 6/4 (Sky Bet)
- Manchester United to beat Club Brugge (1/4) – Louis van Gaal is desperate to lead Manchester United back into the Champions League proper. The Dutchman knows that a win against Belgian champions Club Brugge is the minimum expectation for his team.
- Celtic to beat Malmo (8/13) – Malmo are struggling in their domestic league and travel to play Celtic who have never lost to Swedish opposition. Having missed out on the Champions League last season expect Celtic to record a home win in this first leg match.
- Southampton to beat FC Midtjylland (1/4) – The Saints have been given a good draw as they look to get through to the Europa League group stage. They should have more than enough to give themselves a lead to defend in the second leg.

- Valencia to beat Monaco (4/5) – Monaco may have had a good season in the Champions League last year but they will find it difficult to even qualify this time around as a strong looking Valencia side stand in their way. The Spaniards have to make the most of their home advantage and should take a lead into the second leg.
- Lazio to beat Bayer Leverkusen (6/4) – Leverkusen are one of the most difficult teams that Lazio could have drawn but the Italians were very impressive last season. Stefano Pioli has built an exciting side which should be good enough to secure a win.
- Young Boys to beat FK Qarabag (4/6) – Young Boys have a good deal of European experience to utilise against their Azerbaijani opponents. Qarabag lost 1-0 over two legs to Celtic showing an alarming lack of fire power. If they don’t improve, Young Boys could win this one at a canter.
Long Shot – 56/1 (Bet365)
- Manchester United beat Club Brugge to nil (5/6) – Winning is the most important thing for Van Gaal but not conceding an away goal is also high up the list of priorities. United have a good defence which should stay strong and allow the attacking players to get the job done at the other end of the pitch.
- Celtic to beat Malmo 2-0 (13/2) – Celtic will face some resistance from Malmo as they look to take the game to their opponents but they’ll be very disappointed if they don’t send their fans home happy. A comfortable 2-0 win would set them up very nicely for qualification.
- CSKA Moscow to beat Sporting (16/5) – The Russian League has been underway for some weeks now whereas Sporting will only have one competitive game under their belts by Thursday. That extra sharpness will be a real boost to CSKA who have a great chance of an away win.
