We’ve got another exciting looking weekend of Premier League action to look forward to after the top flight got back underway a week ago. There were some very impressive performances in game week one and we’re expecting this time around. Below we’ve picked out three accumulators with increasing odds to try to make some profit from the action.
Easy Winner – 6/5 (Sky Bet)
- Liverpool to beat Bournemouth (1/2) – Liverpool look as though they have a well-balanced squad this season and they managed to battle to a 1-0 win away against Stoke in their opening game. Bournemouth showed some naivety in their defeat to Aston Villa and will be punished for anything similar at Anfield.
- Manchester City v Chelsea under 3.5 goals (1/3) – Neither side is going to want to lose this and they will keep things tight to make sure they don’t hand anything on a plate to their main rivals for the title. Expect a tight and nervy game with only a small number of goals.
- Manchester United/draw versus Aston Villa (1/7) – Aston Villa have a terrible record against Manchester United. They haven’t beaten United at home since 1999 so betting on that run to continue is something of a no brainer.
Medium Risk – 8/1 (BetVictor)
- West Ham to beat Leicester (13/10) – The Hammers got off to a great start by beating Arsenal at the Emirates and they will pose Leicester more problems than Sunderland did at the King Power. West Ham generally beat the teams from the bottom half of the table at home last season while, save for their miraculous end of season run, the Foxes struggled away from home.
- Watford to beat West Brom (13/10) – Watford were very impressive against Everton, showing that despite a big influx of new players they retain their ability to score. West Brom will need to get some points on the board soon but they may have to start next week as the buoyant Hornets looks good value for a home win.
- Crystal Palace v Arsenal both teams to score (17/20) – Arsenal need to kick start their season against a very exciting looking Crystal Palace side. They cannot afford another game without goals but will do well to stop the flowing Palace attack. Both teams have enough to get through the other’s defence and that’s the final bet of this acca.
Long Shot – 54/1 (Bet365)
- Southampton to beat Everton to nil (2/1) – While Southampton are looking forward to another successful season, Everton fans are worried that the club’s failure to spend in the summer will hurt them. The home side usually wins this fixture and the Saints had a brilliant defensive record last season.
- Manchester United to beat Aston Villa to nil (8/5) – Villa really struggle against United and despite a woeful goalscoring record last season they’ve sold their best striker. Expect the away side to come through unscathed.
- Manchester City and Chelsea to draw 1-1 (6/1) – 1-1 was the scoreline in both games between these two last season and it looks a likely outcome this time. Both managers would be happy to take the point and move on and they aren’t going to risk losing by being too attacking.
