The first set of second leg ties in the Champions League take place this week with some finely balanced ties and some that have dead rubber written all over them. Whatever the state of the match, you can profit out of them thanks to the below accas. You can choose to play it safe or take more of a risk with a bigger reward as we have three choices.
Easy Winner – 4/5 (BetVictor)
- Real Madrid to beat Schalke (2/11) – Madrid beat Schalke 2-0 in the first leg and will surely be too much for the Germans at the Bernabeu. Ronaldo and co will make this another difficult night for Robert Di Matteo’s men.
- Bayern Munich to beat Shakhtar – Bayern are looking to win the Champions League this season to put Pep Guardiola’s brand of football back at the top of the world. They need to beat Shakhtar first but that should be relatively easy in front of their home fans who have only seen them drop one point in the Bundesliga this season.
- Porto v Basel over 1.5 goals (2/7) – A 1-1 draw in the first leg means that this one could go either way in Portugal. Basel need to score to ensure they don’t go out on away goals so add over 1.5 goals to the acca for a nice easy winner.
Medium Risk – 5/1 (Coral)
- Chelsea to beat PSG (5/6) – Chelsea came through against PSG in last season’s quarter final thanks to a second leg win at Stamford Bridge. They are now a stronger team and can cause Laurent Blanc’s men all sorts of trouble in front of their home fans.
- Bayern Munich v Shakhtar over 2.5 goals(1/2) – When they get going, Bayern can be an unstoppable force. Given that they drew 0-0 in the first-leg they will be looking to score early and put themselves in pole position. That could open the floodgates and see three goals scored easily.
- Real Madrid to win to nil against Schalke(evens) – Carlo Ancelotti’s men won 2-0 in Germany and should win again without conceding. Schalke don’t have too many goals in their team and could well be completely overwhelmed at the Bernabeu.
Long Shot – 413/1(Bet365)
- Chelsea to beat PSG 2-1 (15/2) – This game should be a fairly close one and we can see Chelsea sneaking it by one goal. PSG need to score so will be doing all they can to strike, if they only score one, that won’t be enough though.
- Bayern Munich to beat Shakhtar 3-0 (11/2) – Guardiola’s team score loads and concede only a few. They can put Shakhtar to the sword on Wednesday and come away with another home win.
- Real Madrid to beat Schalke 3-0 (13/2) – Madrid scored three against Schalke at home last season and can do the same again this time around. The home defence is likely to be relatively untested and they can sit back and watch the forwards get the job done…and land this humungous accumulator!
