The midweek action this week comes from the FA Cup third round replays and with plenty of draws in the original batch of ties we have seven games on Tuesday and Wednesday from which to draw our midweek FA Cup accumulator betting tips.
There are five Premier League sides in action, with at least two guaranteed to be knocked out and so there could be some good opportunities for lower league sides in the fourth round. As usual our three accas, at a range of odds from the nailed-on to cross-your-fingers-and-hope, are detailed below, so why not have a flutter to brighten up the midweek blues?
Easy Winner – 5/4 (Betfred)
- West Ham v Everton over 1.5 goals (2/7) – The first game finished 1-1 but both sides should have scored more and with Everton’s more direct play making them look very dangerous we think this is a banker here, not least because the Toffees’ defence continues to wobble.
- Tottenham to beat Burnley (4/9) – Spurs will prove too good for Burnley at White Hart Lane and you can quote me on that! A great value addition to our acca at a price that looks big given Burnley’s poor away record.
- Tottenham v Burnley over 1.5 goals (2/9) – Burnley have conceded an average of two goals per away game in the Premier League whilst Spurs have registered 11 goals in their last four home matches in all competitions and so this is another banker in our eyes.
Medium Risk – 11/2 (BetVictor)
- Bristol City to beat Doncaster (5/6) – A home game against Premier League opposition – West Ham or Everton – awaits the winner of this game and we think the West Country side will get the job done on home soil having drawn 1-1 in South Yorkshire against a side they have an 18 point lead over in League One.
- Bradford to beat Millwall (6/4) – Bradford are flying high in League One and can upset Millwall here and extend their brilliant recent record in the cups.
- Tottenham to beat Burnley (1/2) – As above – Tottenham are just a great bet given their form and their superior squad depth, especially given the Lancashire side play QPR and Crystal Palace either side of this clash.
Long Shot – 73/1 (Bet365)
- Wolves to beat Fulham to nil (12/5) – Wolves are acquitting themselves very well in the Championship and are nine points better off than Fulham. Wanderers have kept five home clean sheets in the second tier and having won 1-0 at Fulham in the league we can see a similar result here.
- Chesterfield v Scunthorpe correct score 1-1 (6/1) – This all-League One clash may be closer than the bookies suspect and given there is only six points between the sides we think the visitors can nick a draw, with 1-1 looking likely given recent results for both sides.
- Southampton to beat Ipswich to nil (21/10) – The Tractor Boys did brilliantly to earn a 1-1 draw at Southampton but we think the Premier League side will get the job done here. The Saints have a superb defence, both home and away (the best in the Premier League overall and also away from home) and so an away win to nil is the call.
